This painting is one that I created for my cousin, Mehreen. She loves owls, and I wanted to make something special for her. This is a portrait of a baby Northern Saw-whet Owl, which is my cousins favorite species of owl. It was difficult painting all of the fine details with the feathers, etc. However, after many failed attempts at creating this painting, I managed to complete it satisfactorily.
