Santorini is a piece that I name the most difficult piece I have yet to create. It was physically demanding due to the size of the canvas, as well as straining on my hands and body. The entire timeline was over a month, with over 20 days spent not painting. I gave up for a while, with the large canvas pushed to a corner of my room where it would be in my sight of vision whenever I entered the room.

After almost a month passed, I realized that I made a promise to my younger brother, that I would make the painting for his birthday, and I missed his birthday. So I put myself to work and finished this piece within 4 days after working hard and pushing myself using mainly oil paints.

The background and sky are acrylic, as well as the background buildings. The domes and buildings near the front are all oil.
